This year Nicholson School of Communication students got the opportunity to get scared out of their brains at Halloween Horror Nights 25. Universal Orlando Resort asked for the top 25 communication students to come and shoot videos of their experience at the annual event.
Students arrived with GoPros and phones in hand to get first hand shots of the clowns and chainsaws and everything creepy. Universal provided the students with free tickets and express passes into the event. They also gave them front of the line and back stage access to a few of the Houses and Scare Zones.
Students had the opportunity to walk through the houses and get exclusive video. Then each student had to edit their footage into a promotional video. After all of the videos were collected by Universal, they put them all together and added them to their website.
One production student, Lincoln Wood, says he loved the experience and wants to do it again.
“My favorite part was cutting the lines. I thought the Jack house was definitely the scariest. Just the different rooms. It was like every room was a different story so it was hard to expect what was coming up,” Wood said.
